Hm. I never bought that book because the premise sounded kinda daft. Is it any good?

I think it depends a lot on your own personal tastes. For me, the person who recommended it told me that it was 'a tale of love and devotion, spanning decades and different times the characters' lives'. So, I thought, 'hot damn, I like time travel! I like romance! It'll be like The Lakehouse, but without Keanu Reeve's bad acting!'

What I got was a frankly disturbing tale about a man that time travels at random, meets a little girl of about 7 years old, who falls in love with him. He then keeps meeting her at various points in her life, takes her virginity when she turns 18, marries her when she's in her 20s, and then they have weird time traveling miscarriage babies, and finally a total sue baby.

But that's just my personal opinion.

Ok, that sounds like something that is not my taste. I am not sure what exactly it is, but... Hot damn. That sounds so much worse than I thought it could be, even given sparkly ~timetravelling~ love, which in itself... nah.

Yeah, if that had been the description I had been given, I never would have read it, and would be much better off. It kinda ruined time-travel romance for me, with all the pedophilia vibes, which sucks, because I normally find it a rather interesting topic.

I read it because my roommate was HEAD OVER HEALS for it.

I should have realised what that meant, as she had "fallen for" one of her high school teachers and her priest before she even came to university.
