OP here. I always thought Ringo and Simca are very different. I like Ringo (and pretty much every other female character except Simca).

And God, Benkei. She's my favorite, why did it have to be her? After reading the latest chapters, I couldn't cut bread for a week.

AHAHA oh goodness, you poor thing! I already have a problem using sharp knives;;; and seeing her do that did me no favours. I'm all ): about Yoshitsune too, he was another favourite, so I'm kinda sad to see Trident gone like that.

I think disliking a character because they're very forward, sexually, is kind of harsh. so what if she's a giant tease? leading guys on doesn't mean she actually did anything with any of them, aside from let them look. but she has calmed down somewhat, and has decided to do what she can to help Kogarasumaru, right?

question - do we know what Simca was like during her time in Tool Toul To?

I guess it depends on the person. I just don't like this... forwardness, because I think a woman can achieve just as much with her charms, without having Simca's flashy methods. I mean, why undress to get what you want when a simple kiss on the cheek drives the boy into a haze? There are so many examples out there of women that didn't need to take off anything to get a man under their spell. Though at this point, I have to consider the fanservice element.

I noticed that she toned down considerably and became more serious after she cut her hair. I personally don't know how she was in Tool Toul To, and it would be interesting to get some backstory on how the group was founded.

I do get what you're saying, and I totally agree - women don't need to show any skin to get power or attention. but, Simca knows how guys see her, and I wonder if it amused her at all to see every guy fall apart at the prospect of seeing her body. that or it would make them easier to manipulate although being the leader of Genesis probably helped her enough in that regard. I would love to have some more information about her like if she was always so flighty and carefree, or if she became like that when the 1st gen Gravity Children escaped.

I know she was supposed to take over from Ine as the Pledge Queen, so she was/still is? a top class tuner. after the original Sleeping Forest broke down, she left to join Genesis although she was only really a figurehead, Nike and Sora had other plans from the beginning. Kururu would eventually take over from Ine instead. TTT are a neutral group, though I wonder if they'll stay neutral through this fighting, or eventually split and pick sides? certainly Kanon shows an obvious bias towards Ringo and Kururu and Ine show one towards Ikki and his team. sorry for the tl;dr ):

one thing I still don't really get is what the Sky Regalia is, because from what I understand, it isn't really like the others. sometimes I miss when this series was all fanservice and cool angles. I wonder if I should go back and read it all again, there aren't that many chapters. maybe I'll understand things better this time around.

TTT will probably not stay neutral for long. Ine's bound to do something to avenge Spitfire (and you already mentioned the other tuners' inclinations for certain sides).

Oh! Great always liked to complicate things for his readers and confuse them. His mangas are either filled with made-up technical details (Air Gear) or obscure references to Japanese literature and myths (Tenjou Tenge for example). Translators must have a hellish job when it comes to a chapter from one of his mangas.

From what I understood, the Sky Regalia is something that can controll all ATs in the world because they are supposedly connected to it. That's all I figured out, the story gets really foggy in those chapters.

I much prefered the times when things weren't so dead serious in Air Gear. I find some of the new developments hard to believe. Some guys with blades and a huge robot attack Osaka and there's no sign of any kind of authority there? Where on Earth is the police in that world?

yeah I totally forgot, Ine and Spitfire had something going on, probably from their days in Sleeping Forest I'd wager. I'm sure TTT was created after that, something to do with the original Kings and Queens all being Gravity Children, and not needing tuners in the past and the newer regaliadhjkfd;sd I don't quite get it. AHAH I must sound really stupid :|

I don't mind the wacky physics, even if it takes a couple of tries I'll understand what he meant. I don't even mind obscure references even if they're mostly lost on me. if a translator explains it then I'm grateful.

I didn't really understand it because it seemed like there was too much attention being paid to ~*~President Omaha~*~ than to what that regalia actually was. your explanation makes a great deal of sense to me, so thank you for that! I decided to re-read things again so hopefully everything will make sense this time.

don't ATs have a special force dedicated to keeping them under control? or something like that anyway. Akito/Agito's brother is in it, right? all the police would have been able to do is evacuate the area. think about it though, when you read fights over the course of a few weeks, it feels like it takes forever, but when you're able to read them all at once, it passes faster, so who knows how long it took? that said, I'm sure the JSDF should have been able to deploy themselves a bit faster :|

Yes, there's a special anti-AT force led by The Shinjuku Crocodile, Kaito. But they operate in Tokyo, as far as I know. There may be other such forces around Japan, but they're only there to keep things quiet in minor incidents. When a huge mecha attacks a city and starts seting houses and monuments on fire, then not only the police must act, but the army too.

Ugh, president Omaha. What was the mangaka thinking? The president of the USA, trapped in a girl's body and skating around the city on some special rollerskates? Whyyyy... :(

I want the focus to shift back on what's really going on. Things suddenly got so serious, with Yoshitsune dead and Benkei severely wounded. I miss the times when everything was ok and their only concern was AT fights.

Well, Trident was a massive team, so you can be sure to bet that there were many other teams and more riders in the area, so I'd be surprised if they ran around with nobody to stop them or keep them in check. everybody should have acted faster but with the timing skewed who knows how long things took. If it suddenly appeared I'd understand why they never appeared but if it was wondering through the city then ??? what gives.

I'm still bummed out that he killed off Spitfire so adding Yoshitsune to the pile just makes it worse. I did enjoy things more when it was just about betting emblems and upgrading parts, but this is shounen. stuff never stays that simple for long. I don't mind the direction it's heading in now, but I thought the GST would focus more on the teams battling it out. I wouldn't mind to see other teams compete. I want to know why Yoshitsune wanted his regalia to get to Kogarasumaru, and who he intended to inherit it from him. I wonder if Kazu will ever get his regalia back?

I'm interested to see how Ringo handles things. I know she uses Croissant Mask as a disguise so she can help Ikki but I think eventually she'll have to decide if she wants to continue helping him, or hold off and protect the regalia which is her job as part of Sleeping Forest. she's already attacked him once before, so I'm sure she could do it again.

It's quite strange how people die over a pair of ATs. Or how TTT has this pseudo-religious theme that doesn't fit with the urban theme of the manga. I'm just now buying into that.

I also thought the focus will be on battles; as it is at this point, the story is confusing for me. Yoshitsune probably wanted the regalia to be safe, and he trusted Ikki's potential - he probably thought that Ikki and his team will be able to protect it.

Ringo is torn between the classical love and duty cliche. I suspect they'll eventually team up against Sora and Nike. I want to see more of Sleeping Forest and their backgrounds. They're bound to get in Ringo's way if they see that she's leaning towards Ikki and neglecting her duties. I din't know about Mikan and Ume, but Kilik, Gabishi and Om won't tolerate that.

the story has been confusing me for months now! there is a lot of stuff I've forgotten though. I think in a story like this you're just gonna have to accept a few things so I try not to think too much about it sometimes.

I know the point of the GST is to win/protect the regalia, but I wonder if the tournament will carry on as normal with teams going against each other, or, once word of Trident's extermination spreads will it just fall apart and instead head for one big battle of Genesis vs. Sleeping Forest/anybody who is able and willing?

Ringo would probably want to side with Ikki, but Crazy Apple wouldn't. I don't think Mikan would sit back and do nothing, either. hasn't she already warned Ringo about it in the past? I know Rika has. technically Ringo's doing nothing wrong, as teams are allowed backups. I wonder what Rika would say, if she knew everything that was going on, even if she isn't actively riding anymore. she's still seeing Sora right?

I would definitely like to know more about certain characters but also I wanna learn more about the Gravity Children. but whatever happens in the manga, I think it's clear there will be a final showdown. but then what? does it end or not?

I don't think Rika knows about Sora yet. And if she does, we weren't shown any reaction of hers. I think that deep down Rika has her suspicions, because in the virtual battle with the old Sleeping Forest, she said how Sora somehow looks at her with such kind eyes, but it's as if he's looking at some abandoned kitties, not at a human being.

I really liked her past with Sora, though. I wonder if he still cares about her. And I want to know what's the deal with Aeon Clock working for Sora now. The final showdown is bound to come.

I don't know anybody else who reads this, so it's good for me too (: also I've never spent this long discussing it either ahaha so this doubly great.

Well, Sora managed to hide the truth for many years. he fooled everybody, including Rika. I don't think he'd tell her himself what was going on, but she isn't stupid so I imagine she's worked bits out herself even if she's unaware of the big picture. as well, it's not like she can just ignore events because her family are at the heart of it, you know? maybe Sora's feelings for her now are fake, but they never used to be. besides, news about what happened in Osaka will spread. let's see if she puts 2 and 2 together.

as for what Aeon is doing, who even knows? I know his father was making him do something but he had his own agenda too. I just don't understand why he went back to the very people who killed Mimisaka, even if it was him they were aiming for. he's not an idiot either, so maybe he's still following his own goals right now, whatever they may be.

there are so many characters to keep track of! but I think some of them, like Nue (maybe Hako too?) will play important roles in determining what happens.

It's possible that Sora seduced Rika only to bring her to Sleeping Forest in the first place, because she was very talented.

I'm firmly convinced Aeon has his own agenda, and will probably backstab the hell out of his current "boss". I almost forgot about Nule(Nue?)! And is it me or did Hako look ill in the last chapters she appeared in? She doesn't even look happy, more like nervous or even scared when she's around Sora. I feel sorry for her.

I think her problem is that she was jealous of top tuners like Kururu and wanted to be useful, no matter to whom. She didn't say anything when Sora called her an average tuner. And yet to me, her loyalties are mixed. I don't see her as being completely loyal to Sora. She did show up at Kogarasumaru's battle with the other tuners one time and sang with them. I hope she'll get the chance of leaving safely.

well, from what I remember she fought her way up the ranks alone, aimed to become the Thorn Queen, and take down every team in the area. Sora told her that he was a fan of hers and they eventually became friends. later, she said she'd heard of this team, made up of the strongest Kings of the era. when she arrived at the fight she saw that Sora was the leader of that team, Sleeping Forest, and because she wanted to stay close to him she accepted his offer to join.

Aeon definitely had a reason to take that Regalia, but I think originally he tried to take it from Spitfire and failed, so he took it from Kazu. god only knows what he is planning. Nue hasn't been in the manga recently so it's no wonder you forgot him! he is only siding with Sora because he promised Nue that he would create a world where the Gravity Children (under Nue's care) would live a normal life. I don't think he's a bad guy though, he's just doing what is best for him.

I know everybody thinks Hako is just average, and that must hurt even if she knows it is true. I know that she wants to prove herself to people. but when she stole the newly repaired Bagram Cores, that was wrong of her. I don't believe she is loyal to Sora in the slightest, she was kidnapped after all. Sora and Nike are both crazy, so I know she is only complying to ensure her own safety. I don't blame her for being scared, but it was her jealousy that led to her being like this. I hope she works on that.
