IDK for some reason my brain has always through of them as like, the paleontologist version of Mulder and Scully, and therefore held a tiny torch for them all these years. I honestly can't remember anything that happens in any of the movies except the first one, yet still my brain says "paleontologist mulder and scully, brainy soulmate work partners, they need to be together always."
