I know nothing about this fandom, but I feel like many if not most of us have had the experience of wading into a fandom, looking around, and thinking, "Right then, so is everybody here a teenager*, or does everyone just write like one?" And then not being able to talk to anyone about it, because other people's (lack of) writing ability is such a douchey thing to bitch about. So you just have to keep all of those judgmental thoughts to yourself, which only makes them worse, until you just want to start waving your arms around and yelling about unnecessary epithets, and the epidemic of wandering close third POV, and, and, and.

*My apologies to teenagers. I'm generalizing and I acknowledge that. Not all teenagers write bad fanfic and not all adults write good fanfic. Also, there's no shame in being bad at something when you're a novice.

Yes!
Sadly I tend to lost interest about the canon when fandom is like this. It annoys me greatly

There are so many fandoms like this, too. Which I guess makes sense for demographic reasons but it's annoying nonetheless.
