Re: What single word do you hate more than any other word in the English language?
(Anonymous) 2022-06-27 07:05 am (UTC)(link)What really drives me nuts is when I hear people (usually young people, though not always) saying come is "prim" and cum is more raw and dirty. Excuse me? Tell that to the A/B/O tentacle porn I just read that had absolutely no problem being wildly filthy while describing the copious amounts of come being produced, while the bottom was coming in long, drawn out spasms on the top's tentacle cock. Lol. There is absolutely zero correlation between which word is used and the rawness or dirtiness of the smut. I will fucking die on that hill.
But cum does ring extremely childish to me, for sure. There's also this complicated aspect of it that's like...I think a lot of really heavily objectifying, male-gazey porn from past eras tended to use 'cum' pretty heavily (certainly the stuff I ran into did). So it's forever going to be a turn-off to me for that reason as well. I read it and I'm just instantly transported to "Barely Legal Co-Ed Gets Huge Cum-Load On Perky Double D's" territory. Which like...*exhausted sigh* kink tomato, dude, whatever, do you. But I'll just be over here welding my legs shut.
