Not treating them (or the trauma results) as something to "fix" as much as trying to give helpful coping methods. There's a middle ground between berating the client for taking too long to heal, VS. agreeing with anything they say and letting them continue to be harmful to themselves and others.

Honestly it just comes down to treating clients on an individual basis and not following some outdated guidebook about how to deal with a given diagnosis.

(I'm assuming you meant GOOD therapist, and not that GOODS is some new mental health acronym).
