And ayrt can still hate him and think he’s an idiot. Which he is, since being sheltered can only explain away so much. And regardless of there being reasons for him being the way he is, the fact that his actions instigated so much through such frustrating means makes it understandable why someone may hate him anyways. In the same way something avoidable that happens anyways just because the plot needs it to be will always be too annoying for some people to get past.

Hi I’m ayrt and yes, I do also hate Ventus. Love Riku though. Not sure where the contradiction is and don’t care sorry!!

Riku literally gets his whole home destroyed by playing with forces beyond his ken because he's bored and doesn't care about it until Sora essentially punches it out of him.
