Sometimes I pick up an odd habit from a favourite character. Like a tic! But gonna be honest, my first thought on this was Avatar and idk how I feel about that.

idk, if you "suddenly find yourself" doing those things then yeah, i'd find that kinda weird and maybe a bit concerning, that kind of mindless monkey see monkey do thing. but just picking up traits and styling yourself after characters, who cares

I used to do this, maybe I still do to some degree. Whenever I'd find something attractive about s character (or found a character attractive point blank), I would begin to emulate them, adopt certain vocabulary, speech patterns, ways of carrying myself, dressing myself. Learn more about their interests, etc.
