NAYRT

I used to watch Pioneer Woman every morning, and I still use some of her recipes, but NGL when I found out her husband's ranch is actually that of a wealthy legacy family ranch, I was a bit turned off. On her cooking show and on her blog where she originally posted pictures with her recipes, she often drove a "rustic" and "working class" narrative. I haven't really been into her content in years so she might have likely toned it down or the way she presents her public persona is a bit different now? Or maybe she's still doing her thing and people either don't know or don't care?

I think for some people it comes a little too close to Marie Antoinette playing a farm girl at the Petit Trianon. Here's someone playing up how "simple" her farm life is and in reality it's a wealthy estate. And I can see how some people would have resentment/an issue there. At least Marie Antoinette didn't go around France putting on plays and telling locals to buy her cookware and farm girl dresses?

Like, enjoy what you like, but I'm not going to go out of my way to defend rich people to strangers in the world we live in. But I'm also not going to mess with anyone's bag. We all hustle as we do, but again, I'm not going to defend them against haters. LOL
