I haven't seen this yet, but it's probably me. Sorry, OP. I don't got time to sit here and enjoy this. Even openings I like. I have to have time to enjoy it, because yes, those 15 to 30 seconds are cutting into my continuity. And even if I don't press skip, I leave the room and go do something productive while it's playing the background.

Since you haven't watched it you obviously don't know better, but the opening is a HUGE part of the continuity in this case. One day, you'll see and you'll get it.

It's me. I do it. Hate on me all you want. If I'm bingeing 10 episodes in a night because there's nothing else on, I genuinely do not want to have that song in my head when I'm fighting insomnia later. I listened to the song plenty as a kid, I really don't need it 40 years later.

There used to be a piano in the lobby of the building I work in (on a university campus). Once in a while someone would play scales or a half-remembered classical piece on it (badly.)
