Unironically the intros to Pee-wee's Playouse and Monster Rancher. That good shit lives in my head rent free and on loop now and forever. So fantastically obnoxious.

Babylon 5 seasons 4 and 5. Doctor Who. Game of Thrones. Star Trek (all except Enterprise). Angel and Buffy. Firefly. Poirot. Stargate: SG1 and Atlantis.

Space:1999 first season

Band of Brothers. I just really love the intro music.

Both Game of Thrones and Series of Unfortunate Events had fun intros.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the pure late 90s/early 00s flavor.

Police Squad, especially William Shatner's.

GOT. that intro is amazing and the music is still a banger. so sad the series got done to dirty :(

Sapphire & Steel (All irregularities will be handled by the forces controlling each dimension.) for the sheer weirdness of it, really gets you into the vibe of the show. Doctor Who, especially 60s Doctor Who (the b&w visuals and music just fits). The X-Men and Justice League cartoon themes for the nostalgia. Star Trek, especially the TOS and DS9 themes.

I actually love Breaking Bad intro, short intro is always good

I've never even watched the show but the Hart To Hart opening sequence is classic. Just such a good, goofy opening voiceover.

Somebody needs to bring back goofy opening voiceovers.

Babylon 5, Revolutionary Girl Utena, and Planetes.

Is anime acceptable? If so, there are way too many, but Full Metal Alchemist's are all classics. Rewrite, Again, Golden Time Lover? All immaculate

Psych's theme song lives rent free in my head.

The one for YuYu Hakusho's pretty great. Also love the Wotakoi one.

Boardwalk Empire, all 4 versions of Bit of Fry and Laurie, MST3K

Nothing comes close to the True Blood credits for me. They are a damn work of art.

The Wallander credits are incredibly simple, but they capture the intense, contemplative melancholy of the show really well, IMO.

And the rest of my faves are all just fun 90’s and 00’s throwbacks that are a blast to sing along to:

Smallville - “Somebody SAAAAAAAAVE MEEEEEE”

Dawson’s Creek - “I don’t wanna wait-- for our LIIIIVES to be OVERRR”

The OC - “CALiforniAAA, CALiforniAAAAAAA… Here we COOOOOOOOMMMEEE”

Gilmore Girls - “Oh oh, OH-- where you lead! I will follow! Any- anywhere”

Veronica Mars (but not S3; the remix was terrible) - “Come ON now sugar! Bring it on, bring it on yeah!”

I love "high brow" TV, I truly do, but I am forever salty that fun opening credits which get you pumped to watch the show have been forsaken in favor of subtle, "artsy" credits that are artistically superb, but ultimately boring after the first few viewings. Like yeah, the theme music of Succession is phenomenal, but I still skip the opening credits nine times out of ten.

Ghost in the Shell

I didn't watch it but the drums intro from the new BSG

The X-Files (gotta keep your eyes peeled to see if it's an ep where the replaced "The truth is out there" with something else)

Live-action: Twin Peaks, Black Sails, Six Feet Under, True Blood, True Detective season 1. I have no love for Game of Thrones at all, but the intro is great.

Animated: Fullmetal Alchemist had some bangers (Ready Steady Go, Rewrite, Undo), the Batman animated series, Hellsing, anything from Cardcaptor Sakura, Tokyo Ghoul season 1, multiple from Attack on Titan.

Due South

Rockford Files. The music is just so good. And original Hawaii 5-O.

Star Trek. I always liked Game Of Thrones and never skipped it.

For more modern things, Beforeigners on HBO. It’s always different and people out of time on the streets. Cavemen in trees and shit.

Granada Holmes. It sets the scene so well.
