Ok these secrets are getting annoying now.

Am I the only one who doesn't think the Supernatural fandom is crazy?

I think it's crazy. But I think most my large fandoms are crazy; HP, Bleach, Naruto, Dr Who etc.

This one is a troll secret though. And if SPN fandom would just stop reacting to them, they will find that the vast majority of them will disappear.

THANK YOU for the "wasting talent" comment. I think it's stupid to claim an artist is "wasting their talent" for drawing what they want to draw, regardless of what it is, even if it's something that I find absolutely disgusting and horrorfying. I mean, just because you happen to admire an artists talent does not mean they have to cater to you and only draw things that YOU want to see. :|

I actually resisted even watching the show for the majority of the past few years because I knew about the fandom. The Wincest is, well, it bugs the crap out of me. A fandom is, however, more than one part, albeit a LARGE part is Wincest-y. I just avoid the communities. XP

I was in a production of HPoD in which Horatio was played by a girl, and now I ship Hamlet/Horatio no matter the gender of either character. It's awesome. Also: Horatio hates Ophelia, but Ophelia is too busy worrying about her out-of-wedlock pregnancy to think about her ex-boyfriend's best friend's feelings for her.

Personal canon is awesome.

You mean the people in the movie idolized the Comedian or the audience? If OP meant the characters in the book, well, people idolize violent people all the time in real life. Whether they know their hero is a violent crazy eff-er of not. Plus the characters who really knew him all HATED him, except RORSCHACH. And Sally. But she obviously felt torn about her feelings for him.

As for audiences like Comedian. People seem to really like messed up characters lately. For some reason. Like my dad took me to see Watchmen, and his favorite character was the Comedian. Then he read the book afterward and hated him (although I liked him better in the book). ...And I suppose JDM didnt' help matters...I dunno. I didn't know who JDM was 'till Watchmen.

Really? Then you have been in the wrong fandoms if you have done nothing of any importance.

You should take a look at some fandoms- Star Trek, Highlander, Stargate, etc. They have done a lot of charity work. Fund raising conventions and gatherings. Auctions. Even something as simple as collecting stuffed animals for kids stuck in hospitals.

And the charity work has gone on world wide. The amount of money raised by fans as well as the blood drives, organ donors signed up, morrow donors signed up, etc etc from fandom has been incredible.

So, yes, you can still take part in fandom and do incredible things that will help other people. You just have to get involved.

I totally agree with you. The last season had the most mature and well thought out plot of the whole show. Not to mention the first was an awesome villain.

114. See, Oz would be a great place to be. But I don't want to think about it being the Wicked version, but the one that I grew up with-- the one that L. Frank Baum wrote. The one where the Wicked Witch of the West (not Elphaba) is a scary crone with only one eye.

Something from the Wicked Witch's point of view is cool, and it's nice that they didn't sugarcoat the Wizard (he's a humbug, he says it himself! I'd be curious to know what fandom this is about. I very regularly am completely against a lot of the 'favorite' pairings of a fandom, just because its difficult to convince me to slash characters. Also, people take crap in fandom (especially with pairings) WAY too far. Shipwars are lame and uncalled for.

All that said, there's a lot of give and take when it comes to fandom 'cause its all based on opinion & observation. I very much so disagree with a large portion of my dearest fandom just because I see a character differently than they do.

It really sucks that something you so completely dislike became canon. I'm even more sorry if your fandom shoves it down your throat. Please, please don't become that bitter fangirl, however. Fandom is fun. Let your pairing live on in your head if thats the best thing for you. Or maybe see if you can't find a reason why this other ship is now canon. Make peace and all that.
