I got the first couple of trades of Manhunter and thought it was okay, but wasn't in love with it, and haven't bothered to pick up any of the later trades...

Repeating the recommendations of the above two posters. The Question, Blue Beetle and Manhunter (if you're still interested in her) are all going to be co-featuring in stuff starting in late June - Renee in Detective Comics, Jaime in Booster Gold, and Kate in Batman: Streets of Gotham.

Hispanic women are really sold short aren't they?

I find solace in the existence of Maya Lopez, aka Echo, from Daredevil. Eh, sorry if you aren't a Marvel person. Unfortunately, that is the only strong Hispanic woman that comes to mind concerning comic books.

Alan Moore's Promethea has a main character who's a Hispanic woman. It's an amazing comic in many ways, too.
