I am the person who posted this to the secret-maker's thread, and I am definitely not responsible for #7. However, #7 did directly inspire this secret, in that I read #7 and reflexively thought, "How can anyone prefer FF.net--where it is perpetually 2004 and everyone is perpetually seventeen--to AO3, which literally won a Hugo for how great it is?" I then reflected that I have seen people on reddit professing to prefer FFN to AO3 before, and that whenever I encounter someone expressing that opinion, I have the same reaction, and so I submitted a secret on the subject.

Hey, does anybody remember toe socks? There were hot for like six months in the early 00s and I literally forgot they existed until just now (because for some reason my brain decided to imagine a severed foot in a toe sock, because it hates me).
