I am enjoying watching the Alex Jones trial in TX. If you want to watch what NOT to do as a lawyer, watch Jones' defense attorney. He is horrible and is doing a horrible job.

I've seen some of that! Seems like a complete shitshow and I hope Alex Jones finally gets all the shit he deserves

Today was wild. Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis both gave their testimony. Heslin went first and while on the stand, Jones was on his show DEFAMING HIM.

The plaintiffs for this clip during lunch break and were able to bring it for the jury to see. Lewis gave amazing testimony and Jones was in court for hers. She directly called him out several times. It was harrowing but amazing.

And then Jones got on the stand for some unfathomable reason. The defense for about half an hour with him before the day ended. During that time he lied multiple times. The judge tore him and his lawyer a new asshole.

At the end, after the judge left, Jones tried to talk to both parents. Their lawyer (the amazing Mark Bankston) basically told him to fuck off.

I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if one of the parents of the Sandy Hook victims just one day hauled off and punched Alex Jones in the face. Hard. And I'd be hard pressed to think of anyone more deserving of such a response.

But I think the parents in general just have way too much class and restraint to do that, or at least, far more than I would, were I in their shoes.

Anywho, I'm very happy to hear that things are going absolutely miserably for Alex and his defense team. I hope after this trial this is the last anyone ever has to deal with him and his bullshit ever again.

Today Scarlett Lewis (whose son died) told the court that she would forgive Alex if he actually made an effort. I'd actually watch her testimony if you can. I know the Law and Crime network uploads the whole thing. But here is part of it.

I'm glad he's doing a horrible job because it is Alex Jones. But I can't watch because he's an embarrassment to the profession. Almost as bad as Giuliani.

I'd say worse. Unless whatever judge Giuliani was in front had to dress him down for rules that "a first year law student knows" and has had to tell him MULTIPLE times to not chew gum in her court room.

Oh, I missed that part. Wow. If you are a worse lawyer than Giuliani, you should probably rethink your life choices.

Yeah, I've watching them live every day while chatting about it on the Knowledge Fight thread. One of the plaintiff's lawyers actually comments in the thread!
