I think Starlight Express needs to be done full acid trip style, as was originally intended. Combining that with Transformers style would be fucking epic, but only if it keeps the actors on roller skates. The roller skating is ESSENTIAL.

Also I can't help feeling this secret had to be made by someone I know!

The thing I don't get about making a movie of Cats is that Cats is like, an ultra-dance musical. I'm not a dancer but even I can see how important and central the dancing is compared to other musicals, because it really sells the "these are cats" premise. So they make a Hollywood version where most of the actors are not professional dancers? What? There are major non-dancing parts where you can put your stars, do that!

tl;dr if they make Starlight Express they better get the rollerskating right
