I guess this is only semi-related to this secret but I feel like alot of more "weird" kids shows give off the vibe that it was written by a bunch of actual children.

At age 7 I was writing a comic with my friend and one of the scenes involved a girl getting her hands torn off (in a bloody fashion at that) and then turned into bricks. Yeah...

I can relate to that. It's why I love the older versions of fairy tales the best, the ones with the blood and darkness left it.

This cartoon would have given me nightmares. Oddly, I did like a lot of the odder shows, I just think aesthetically it put me off.
