Yup, but creepy kinks are not the reason I don't get this secret. It's more about why other people's kinks keep the OP from posting their fic. I mean, shouldn't the age old each-their-own mantra work just fine in this case?

108. This is a fandom where rape, watersports, and bestiality are canon. Not to mention the stumpfucking. I doubt fandom would judge you for a bit of BDSM.

I mean, the first fic I discovered in the fandom was one where The Hitcher pissed on Vince, raped him, then forced Howard to rape him a second time.

There's always posting an anonymous fic response to booshmeme. I know, it squicks you out, but there's also harmless stuff like Neon/Ultra on there. You know? It's not all scat singing and mirrorball fetishes.

(Then again, I'm a hypocrite. I keep wanting to prompt/write fic where the series Bainbridge sexes up the pilot Bainbridge, then steals his identity. But I don't, because that's a pretty specific request.)

I'm intrigued, what fandom is this?

I'm in a fandom where I'm a bit nervous how they'll receive some of the fics I've planned if I ever get around to writing them (there's one person who I know will judge me severely even if she never actually says anything to my face)

I've got a pegging fic planned and another where she surprises him by giving him cleavage sex, he then cleans her up with his tongue whilst masturbating her.

I know it's not really that kinky compared to some kinks out there, but I worry that other people will freak

The Mighty Boosh. It's all played for laughs, really, but there's this combination of childlike invention and disturbing subversion of it. There's a merman who's a transvestite stalker, that sort of thing. But it's also a buddy comedy about two best friends, so there's lots of fluff.

Why not just warn people by saying you had disturbing plotbunnies that wouldn't go away? Just hint that you've got uncharacteristically R-rated fic coming up, and see what they say.

I know how you feel. I write smut, but never smut that's tailored to the kinks that get me off the hardest. I need to find a pairing I can write ridiculously exaggerated BDSM (female sub, don't think I mind what the dom's gender is) for. Then, I guess that's what literotica.com is for; fansmuts is more for the characters I love than the kinks I have. And yet. I want to be less inhibited. *sigh*

I'd read that. And you don't have to read anyone's entries to post somewhere.

What I want to know is, why is there not the mix of kink and fluff that's in canon? I want something that's as simultaneously adorable and disturbing as Mrs Gideon and the panda. Instead there's relentless candyfloss sweetness or dark filthy kink.

...basically, what I want is fic which spans the genres. ;)

LOL. Oh, you'll start by reading other peoples non-con in secret, never mentioning it to your friends. Then you will write a fic that has just a trace of it, if you squint sideways and want to see it's non-conniness. And your friends will dig it and encourage you to write more (at least some of them will). So embolden, you will. Over the course of a year or two you'll go from waff to slightly dark to full on what you kink. And some of your avid readers along the way will stop reading you, but you'll pick up ones to replace them, because fandom is full of people with the same desires and kinks.

Eventually you'll look back and shake your head and think: OMG what have I become, and then laugh at your former naivete.

Or at least you will if you are me.
