I feel sorry for this secret, sitting lonely with no replies. I got bored of Mr Robot in season 2 and stopped watching though, so I have no opinion about it.

Seconding. I would like to respond, but I've only seen S1 and like two eps of S2. I didn't even know it had four seasons. Good for it, I guess.

But I totally have episodes of TV that have left me completely shook because they were so damn good. I'm happy for OP that they found a bit of that excellence for themselves.

I think I only every watched the first like... 4 episodes when it was first airing, did it improve? It may be that it just wasn't for me.

This is how I feel about Steven Universe. People say it “gets better,” when really it keeps the same traits, and if you don’t like it in the beginning, you won’t like it later on. I happened to like it in the beginning, so I kept watching.

Absolutely fair!

Mr Robot is basically the same in that matter. Yes, there is a lot of pay off in season 3 and 4, but if you find it slow-paced and boring, you really don't need to sit through a lot of episodes
