oh I was so annoyed with the Suchet series' take on Murder on the Orient Express! The unnecessary addition of Poirot's religious conviction and how ohhhh they have to go to prison for this!!! when in the novel he literally starts the "reveal" by telling a BS story about a fake murderer that got off the train at the last station, which he even got called out on, lol. and then after he gives the true reveal they're like "oh. right. well. let's go with the BS lie then" and it's just a non thing that they're going to let the murderers go because they all agreed it was justified. It especially annoyed me because I love that bit! it's so unusual for a detective story to end with "let's cover the truth up"
