I'm not sure about hitting her girlfriend as the gf denied it. She hit someone at the airport for sure as one witness said. I think maybe her sister.

No, it was the girlfriend. There were witnesses. It was at an airport, and personnel interfered. But, it was explained as "a disagreement between equals" (I might be paraphrasing, can't find the exact quote) and no charges were pressed.

But ultimately, that doesn't matter...hell, even if it has been her sister, it means that violence (even in public - remember, people who do bad shit in public, do worse shit in private) was already normalized in her interpersonal relationships prior to meeting Depp.

Does the mean Depp never hit her (back)? No. But previous physical violence are a massive, massive red flag for DV, even if no charges were pressed, and the victim forgave them (hell, even more so, it shows you're a manipulator, which she absolutely is)

I think Depp never hit back because in the abuse cases i know the victim isn't in any shape mentally to fight back. Some do if the kids get involved.
