The reference to "so even if they're not marked claimed" caused me to assume it was open to other volunteers to offer to help too, but if the secret maker would rather take on all the work themselves, then they can say so.

Not really sure wtf is awkward about offering to help. Jesus.

I'm afraid your assumption is mistaken. The note about marking secrets as "claimed" was included because a while back, there was a lot of confusion about who made what secret. People (who weren't me) would start their own "secrets you don't want to make" threads because they had a secret they didn't have time to make. This was great, but sometimes secret makers (I'm not the only one) would make duplicates by accident and there was some confusion about repeats, etc.

So an anon suggested that in such threads, secrets could be marked as claimed by the person who intended to make and submit that secret. I follow this protocol in other peoples' secret threads. This thread, however, is my own. As stated in my original comment, I intend to make all the secrets in this thread. That was a clarification because people weren't sure if there'd be selective secret-making, or what. I didn't want to leave anyone out, so I don't cherry-pick.

Wow, this is awkward because now there'll likely be duplicate secrets as I've already submitted the ones you marked "claimed". This is exactly the scenario I was trying to avoid, unfortunately.

To clarify - the original comment straight up states that I intend to make all the secrets left in the thread. If I ever need help, I'll be sure to ask in the General Comments, but that's not a call for volunteers.
