That would be a far more sensitive and logical explanation than the show ever offered, IMO. It still doesn't make sense when they consistently portray her as being that way in normal,everyday interactions with other people such as her co-workers, but somehow transforming into this high-powered social queen in her sexual/romantic relationships.

...I just... Isn't it a bit discriminatory to say that she can only be one way? I think that's what makes me uncomfortable.
