Fandom ruined the Doctor/Donna ship for me. I wouldn't ship it anymore anyway because I no longer ship the Doctor with normal humans. But when I first got into Who, I was super into the ship. But 99.9 percent of the fics were full of bashing of Rose, River, and sometimes Martha too. I hate bashing, even when it is a character I don't love (Rose). And it turned me off the ship pretty quickly.

Most juggernaut ships, notably Destiel and Sterek. I shipped Destiel a little bit in the beginning; Sterek I never shipped but I enjoyed their dynamic in a non-shippy way. In both cases the shippers became so unbearable that whenever the characters would share a scene together, all I'd be able to think about was how obnoxious the shippers would be about it and it completely ruined both ships for me in every way.

I think that's why I can't get behind juggernaut ships in general these days, I'm too scarred from the ol' Tumblr wars lol

Healthy relationships and found family. Shipping is supposed to be about putting characters together because it would be fun or interesting, but now the discussion always turns to BUT IS THIS HEALTHY?? WHICH SHIP IS THE HEALTHIEST? Healthy relationships can be fun and interesting, but I'm tired of the obsession and starved for other types of shipping in my fandoms. Found family also gets applied to literally everything, not every group of friends is a found family and that's okay, don't try to make it one!

Ugh, definitely this. I've started leaning a lot harder into my more fucked up ships because of it. Even the ships I have that are ostensibly "wholesome" I tend to ship in at least mildly fucked up ways-- i.e. I ship Noctis/Prompto from FFXV, which is definitely one of those "healthy" ships, but I like them best when they're both mutually possessive and obsessed with each other in an unhealthy way. It's tastier. :3

If I ever hear "found family" ever again it's going to be too soon. Some people are friends and it's good! People should have friends! Also I am tired of bad birth families in fiction.

On three topic of 'what is is healthy' and found family, I sctu a lly find a lot of relocations pf found family in media then in fic of that media to be unhealthy. Like, it looks cute at first, but it is actually NOT GOOD for you to only interact with your work colleagues, meaning you are unhealthily invested in your workplace. And that's not even getting into how super codependent so many depictions of found families are...

Being able to say you dislike stuff without having a bunch of people pile on you simply because you shared an opinion. I said I did not like it - if you like it, go ahead do your thing. How is my not liking some piece of media impacting your enjoyment of it?
