One time I aired a criticism of something I love a lot that I didn't even think of as a criticism when I said it. I love the thing so much I just thought of it as pointing out a haha funny pothole and had no idea anyone would think it was said in a negative light (I still don't think it was). Someone responded very rudely telling me I was wrong because "it's not that deep!" I wasn't wrong; the plothole existing is a fact lmao but this person thought anyone pointing out a flaw must 1. hate the canon and 2. be wrong because the canon is perfect.
