Generally I find that the subs where there's a skew towards women as the main base are better (not always, but generally)...but the double edged sword is that once they get more popular and therefore more visible men just CAN'T help themselves unfortunately.
It's really shit that I had to leave the sub for my favourite sport (that happens to be male dominated) after years of no issues because one guy obviously clocked I was a woman from my posting history and got really abusive about my opinions and of course the mods did nothing.
