I agree. I would add to this list Peggy Carter, Bucky Barnes, and Steve Rogers as people whose stories were dismissed, ignored, or just plain rewritten for a five-second pay-off.

I'm with Anon up-thread; I enjoy the fanfic a lot more than the canon.
