Yeah, that's an aspect of why I've grown tired of the MCU. Because so many characters are put through so much (physically and emotionally and mentally), and the general tone tends to be light hearted action flicks with a heart of gold, I tend tk feel like there are no stakes.
Like, either trauma all around and just because they got rid of the threat we're supposed to forget about the trauma?? Or they undo a lot of things and so it feels like backtracking. It happens a lot with character deaths. It's OK, Gamora finds a way to return. She's not the dead Gamora but time travel blahblahblah GAMORA'S BACK GUYS! We're not going to touch upon the trauma of having someone you love and/or care deeply about back in life??? Now we can sorta pretend Gamora's sacrifice didn't actually happen and she can hang out with the crew again!

I understand they're movies mostly aimed at kids/general audiences but this all feels very capitalistic and harmful in the long run.

+1000 to all of this. At this point, the MCU just doesn't feel like there are any real stakes.e
