So, I've slept with ear plugs for a long time. But in our Dallas house they don't quite cut it. I still hear things and it has made it much harder to sleep. Well, the other day I stumbled on these reusable ones that were supposed to be more effective. 27db reduction instead of the 15-20 of regular ear plugs.

So far they seem to be working well. Still not perfect, but way better than the previous ones.
