(Anonymous) 2022-09-15 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)I’ll admit religion isn’t my thing, and characters that are heavily religious, and I guess heavily influenced by their religion will always feel off to me.
I guess in the 90s with the whole state vs church thing her character/arc made more sense, but now in 2022 it reminds me of all the ‘christians’ that feel persecuted because they can’t impose their beliefs on others.
Before you say it, I’m coming to the conclusion that DS9 isn’t that deep or nuanced, but I just expected something more.
