What's Tar Season?

I noticed people talking about the Tar Season secrets and have seen a couple of them, not sure what the fandom is (or if it isn't from a fandom)...? Is it a trolling thing that went over my head? Is it a fandom I've not heard of yet? Not super active on here, sorry if I'm missing something obvious. Thanks!

It's from some troll / joke secrets that were submitted here a while back - I think probably close to a decade ago now - where the secrets implied that the nonny submitting them lived in some weird bizarro land place where there was something called "tar season" and weird stuff going on with cabbages

Omg, yes, I’ve seen a couple secrets like these occasionally but haven’t known what to make of them. They’re so odd and evocative. I honestly kinda love the storytelling in them, they’re phrased like such average fandom secrets but from another planet.

Yeah, I love the storytelling in them too. I'd love to be able to inhabit that anon's mind for a day. The crabs one is my favourite.
