I don't know if it's problematic to enjoy (it's fiction) but these types of stories are the worst for me. Reading them is the closest I've come to experiencing gender dysphoria.

Yeah, like. I'm a trans man, but I have such a hard time reading fic or books that have trans male characters who actively engage in any sort of sexual activity with their vaginas. It really just... makes me extra uncomfortable. And it's worse when it's not tagged or warned for. Part of me thinks it's really douche-y for me to demand people tag their trans stuff, but it really does set off my triggers.

People should tag trans stuff, though.

It's an AU. If I'm reading a fic about a male character and he has a vagina when he's not explicitly trans in canon, it's AU. If you'd tag a coffee shop or HSAU, tag a trans one.

It is more than fair to expect that actual triggers be tagged!

Yeah, if I were to post, I'd tag my stuff as trans, but like, should I warn that the author isn't trans? Should I warn that the writing might be problematic? On the one hand, I don't want to surprise a trans person with something triggering. On the other, I don't want half the internet yelling at me for being problematic. I mean, other people write problematic trans characters as well, but they don't really tag it, so they blend in. My mental health isn't the best, so I don't want to make myself a target.

This is OP, by the way.
