But I still wince about fans who go out of their way to get a celebrity's attention like this. It's not as bad as showing a actor your erotica fanfiction featuring their character but it's uncomfortably close, IMO. I also question the motive behind it. You must know that you risk making the person uncomfortable, so why do it? Do you not realize that you might come off as a creepy fan?

NAYRT - This is some pretty important context that you left out, OP. I'm not one of the people ITT hassling you. I don't take any of this that seriously, and I'm also not in the habit of assuming the worst when details are omitted. But a lot of people ITT definitely seem to be assuming you, like, brought it up at a Con or something, which is very different from chuckling about it with a friend who happens to be an actor.
