I got the impression this was a really common reaction to this show. I never saw it, not my thing despite loving a lot of the cast, but I knew so many who loved season one and didn’t watch season three and some didn’t finish season two. And I remember hearing some little throwaway line about it in a newscast that it had fallen severely in ratings but I think it was already contracted for another season. I don’t know if they’re still doing that, though.

Not trying to be a gatekeeper of what's a valid secret and what isn't, but I'm pretty sure this is the prevailing opinion on Westworld, actually. From what I've seen, the opinion that everything after S1 of Westworld has been messy is right up there with, "Everything after S1 of Stranger Things has been mid" in terms of popular opinions.

Chiming in to agree -- the first season is one of my favorite seasons of any TV show ever, and I didn't finish the second season. :P

Did no one make it to season 4?

I hated S3 but quite enjoyed S4, even if it still confused me a bit too much for my liking. I suppose uberfans really enjoy the mindfuckery aspect of it? I'm sure some of my confusion could have been alleviated by a rewatch of the entire series, but I didn't care enough to do that. Still, I hope there's a S5.

It's on my dvr, just haven't had time to watch it yet.

Season one was great, hooked you right in. Season two... dragged things out too much. Season three was closer to season one in terms of hooking you, though, still had that slup feeling at times. Haven't watched season four yet.
