Um, excuse me, Event Horizon is one of the greatest movies of all time. No hyperbole, it is straight up one of the best.

100%

yo THIS.
I've watched more than 1000 horror movies in my lifetime and Event Horizon is absolutely one of the best out there. I watched that movie more than 10 times and it still holds up well.

I haaaaaate horror movies. Hate them. I won't even watch cartoons with jump scares in them.

Event Horizon is amazing. I didn't know it was a horror when I first watched it, and it scared the shit outta me; only film I've ever seen that's given me nightmares.

Still rewatch it at least once a year (and get nightmares every time) but god damn it's good. Especially when you fold it into the Warhammer 40k lore.

Great cast, badly dated effects

This movie taught me how worm holes and warp drive (theoretically) work. It also is why I took latin in high school.

Needs more Jason Isaacs.

That's true of everything.

True. Still great movie, though.

Whaaaat! But Event Horizon IS a good movie! Who hurt you, oh anon?

It has a setup, proper atmosphere, tension buildup and a lot left for the audience to fill in. It's good speculative fiction and there's nothing wrong about liking it!

I caught this movie on tv without knowing what it was about when I was younger. I kept watching it because it was Sci-fy and in space. When figuring out it was actually an horror movie, I should have change the channel immediatly. Because I don't do horror: the fear isn't often the strongest during the movie, but grow and linger for a long time afterward (hello, recurring nightmares and night terrors!). But I wanted to know the answer to the mystery and make sure at least some of the characters would be okay. I regretted it so much and still do. The poster is enough to send some chills done my spine. So I respect your choice, to each their own like they say, but can't say I share your taste in guilty pleasure.

1. This is an amazing movie. Best horror movie, IMHO.

2. I headcanon this movie as a prequel to Warhammer 40K. Pretty sure this is a popular headcanon. But it totally works.

Event Horizon is entertaining and I think that's enough.

I don't like it at all (I find it boring and a bit woo woo) but I don't think the majority of people would classify it as a bad movie...
