Ah no, if that were true broadly we wouldn't have our racism issues like we do. I think there's definitely a social intention of 'if you're born in the UK you're British, doesn't matter' in our culture which some people do absolutely ascribe by, but there's also a lot who don't and it gets very muddled into this 'sure they're British(but not really bc they're black/asian)' inside some people's heads.

It's a bit hard to describe honestly because it's weird, contradictory and confusing, but then socialized bigotries tend to be so.
