Never idolize celebs. I know. And I don't.

But part of me can't "unsee" that a musician I like once had ties to a shitbag politician. (I'm being deliberately vague as there are plenty of people in both groups, so no, please don't ask. I won't tell.) The tie itself seemed innocent at the time, possibly a one-time thing, and I didn't think much of it until the politician really made it obvious what an awful human being they were.

I take solace in the fact that the musician hasn't mentioned that particular politician in years. I really, really, really hope that bridge has long been burned to the ground and the ashes pissed on.
