I've never seen this, but from observations, there's clearly a disconnect of reality for people with a lot of money, (not everyone obviously, but priorités and leisure take different places when you live paycheck to paycheck and when you don't have to wonder AT ALL about when and where the money's coming in from).
Not to get all conspiracy minded, but I wonder if the rich just get ultra bored and do crazy things just because they can (thinking eyes wide shut level to the actual exposés you'll hear of). And of course, most people are fans of comeuppance story endings, especially when it's a person who can evade the law and operate as if they are above it because of their means and position.
