I will always stand by the fact they could have ended with S4. They could have ended with Death (4Horsemen arc) appeared. We could have stopped. And I say this as a fan. But they just had to keep going.

I really like season 5. I think the should have ended with the original plan. 5 seasons and the story is finished.

I think they could have ended it in season 5, too, only please make it a happier ending, I couldn't stand the thought of Dean living forever without Sam.

I did like a lot of episodes AFTER season 5, though, and overall, I'm glad for more content, but yeah...up to season 5 it was all pretty much gold.
