IMO Nonny, you're perfectly normal. Even outside of pandemic, it's normal to celebrate your holidays at home where you live. Rather than seeing the holidays as a time exclusively to visit your parents see the holidays a time to do what you want with your free time. Still difficult to gauge social norms/habits with others in 2022

Like, in my family my parents never really pushed for holiday celebrations in our household. Once most of the kids became adults it was half heartedly organized by me for a while, mostly for my younger siblings' benefit. Now that we have our own lives, sometimes we do a family dinner and everyone shows up, sometimes it's just a siblings lunch/dinner because our parents went out of town for the holidays.
