Inspired by 7 - Whose personal diaries would you love to read?

(Anonymous) 2022-10-12 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
Assuming the celebrity in question consented to have them published.

Trent Reznor's, to be honest. I know, I know, 97% of his songs are autobiographical, but still, I'm curious!

Oh, yeah, absolutely. I know he struggled with substance abuse issues and he's lucky to be alive, happily married and successful but there's got to be some good stories about his career over time.

Robert Carlyle. :D
And, also, Rosalind Russell.

After listening to/watching the interviews Bobby Carlyle has given about his unusual upbringing and his relationship with his father, I would love nothing more than a deep-dive memoir but I know he's so private that that's not really his style. But I can dream.

Right?

Kind of cheating, but Jane Austen. Not diaries, but I just think of all those letters her family destroyed. (For privacy reasons! I get why Cassandra did it, but I can't help but be curious.)

Hell, yeah. I also understand why Cassandra did it, and from the stuff that survived Austen's diaries would've been a really gossipy, entertaining read I bet.

Corinne "Coco" Schwab, David Bowie's personal assistant and close friend since his Ziggy Stardust days. I would KILL for a tell-all memoir from her. I doubt she'll ever do it, but damn, that woman has probably seen it all and knows all the dirt behind the scenes.

Tim Roth's, although I fear they might be too dark for me to read.

what's been dark about tim roth's life? I know nothing about the man

My own.

My mother found them when I was fifteen and burned them in the fireplace in front of me to "teach [me] a lesson about what happens to filth" with the implication if I was visibly queer in front of her then I was the filth. I'd love to go back and read about who I was back then, but alas...

I'm so sorry this happened to you, nonny. This is truly despicable.
I hope you're in a better place now, sorrounded by people who love and accept you. <3

Angela Lansbury died

(Anonymous) 2022-10-12 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
It's like all my celebrity grandmothers are dying at once and I'm heartbroken.

Okay, that means the murder rate in Cabot Cove is about to explode or collapse. Then we'll know who the serial killer really was.
