I kind of agree. But I will say anything like realistic wigs are freaking expensive. I don't think a lot of the Game of Thrones or the House of the Dragon ones look that real to me and those are pretty expensive. I don't know why they didn't try to find long-haired actors (or models, if only as extras), though.

Compared to what's already being spent on the costume fabrics, the props, and the physical set dressing that isn't CGI? nah wigs aren't that expensive. more than a cosplay wig, sure, but not everything has to be a thousand-dollar human-hair lacefront. if your makeup artist is on point they can whip a wig into shape...unless, of course, they don't want to pay for makeup artists who know what they're doing.

Anyway, either long hair for all or short hair for all, or a mix not related to gender, none of this "men with the short hair women with the long hair nonsense".

If Amazon can't shell out the dough for long flowing elven locks, they don't deserve my viewership. That's, like, A LOT of the appeal of these early ages Tolkien stories.
