It's not a terrible book, but honestly, I found it a bit too depressing for my taste. If you're interested in other Jane Austen related novels, I recommend:

It was. Really thoughtful character development and her own story, which was great. I finished it and thought, oh yes, this is absolutely the sort of gap that fanfiction is meant to fill.
