Love Yarbro's vampire books. I tried some of her other stuff and just couldn't get into it.

The Satanic rape scene O.P. mentions didn't scar me nearly as much as what happens to Saint-Germaine's adopted daughter in a later book. Or what happened to his servants in the Roman Empire novel.
