Me too, OP! It's a genuinely fun movie, and its visual effects were groundbreaking for the time. And I often find that song going through my head... "You're my dear my darling one, your eyes are sparkling, full of fun" - I used to sing it to my dog, lol.

Fun fact, or maybe just mildly amusing trivia, but the forced perspective work used to blend the Leprechaun king in with Darby during the drinking contest scene contained techniques directly used by Peter Jackson for Lord of the Rings. They were that good, not just for the time, but just in general.

It's a fun movie-- and there's some charm to the singing.

As a kid, the bean shidhe scared the crap out of me. Now, I find it awesome, and Connery's singing is the most frightening part.

Janet Munro was absolutely gorgeous, though.
