Aside from the fact that I disagree that EVERY live action has been awful (I enjoyed Maleficent, personally), haven't most of the live action remakes actually been rather white and conservative in terms of social messaging?

Yes, POC Ariel, but other than that, haven't most main characters in the remakes been white?
