I don't remember much about this movie except that I watched it at my aunt's house and made fun of the kid who got stuck in the closet. Then I went to the bathroom and the doorknob broke, so I was stuck in the bathroom for a while.

It was enough scary for me waiting for the dad to snap and kill the family. And the red room was terrifying. Then again, I'm generally not a horror fan because I feel too sad for the characters getting hurt and killed.

When I first saw this movie, right after it came out, it was terrifying. I was a kid.

So, yeah, when it came out, it was a good horror flick.

Just because it no longer holds up to today's standards, doesn't mean it's a horrible movie.
