I still love the song but I listen to the radio when I work from home and there was a period earlier this year where I'd sigh and think "ffs AGAIN?" any time I heard the intro because it felt like every hour at one point!

I do wish people'd start playing Cloudbusting more in addition to Running Up That Hill because it's a great song too. Actually I think it's better.

I suppose the one good thing to come out of Running Up That Hill overexposure is that a lot of people have discovered even more Kate Bush and moved on/acquired new favourites of hers!

Personally I dealt with seeing it trending nonstop on Twitter and getting it stuck in my head every day by putting on Jig of Life very loudly due to 21-year-old fannish association. :D

I agree. They could definitely have dialed it back a bit. It was a good choice of song at least - if they'd gone for something that got incessant airplay in the 80s it would have driven me up the wall.

I don't watch Stranger Things and I still ended up sick of that song (and I used to ADORE it, it was even on a couple writing playlists I had over the years) because I usually leave my TV on a pop music channel when I'm watching things on the DVR, and every time I would switch shows, a good 75% of the time, that song was playing. It was driving me insane. It's recently calmed down at least.

Yes! I prefer Placebo's version too! I didn't really like the original at all up until recently. Stranger Things brought me around on it a bit, but I still vibe with Placebo's version more.
