14. I have the same exact question. :/ I run well known communities, am friends with a couple of bonified BNFs, and have been around a while in particular fandoms, but... how can you tell? After all, to ask someone whether you are or not would be pretty damn presumptuous, and your close friends (the people you could ask without coming off as haughty and arrogant) ironically probably have less of an idea of your popularity since they know you personally and don't have an idea of your popularity from an outside viewer's perspective.

So yeah. It's a tough situation. One of my friends said I was kind of a BNF, but... I'm not sure. :/ If I am, I'd like to know if I have a good or bad reputation. ._.
