Yeah it's very schticky in a way that doesn't work for me.

Also, I think the believer-skeptic dynamic works a lot better in fiction than in ostensibly true media. When it's in fiction, I can write it off as fiction. When the believer actually is claiming that things happened in real life as a fact, it's a lot harder for me to not just dismiss it as being stupid, and I also get a lot more frustrated when the skeptic lets them get away with staying stupid shit.

Sometimes we don't vibe with stuff the way we think we might, even when it's up our alley. Personally I find these two fun, but very much in an every-now-and-then kind of way as too much of Ryan's believer shtick grates on me(and I otherwise like him, esp when he's having fear melt-downs, but trying to affix any factual proof to a box that spits out random radio stations is something that gets on my nerves if I see too much of that).

But don't feel bad if you don't like it and don't force yourself to watch it just because your friends like it either, you're allowed to have your own opinions about it OP, even if they're not the same. :)
