(Anonymous) 2022-10-31 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)Also, I think the believer-skeptic dynamic works a lot better in fiction than in ostensibly true media. When it's in fiction, I can write it off as fiction. When the believer actually is claiming that things happened in real life as a fact, it's a lot harder for me to not just dismiss it as being stupid, and I also get a lot more frustrated when the skeptic lets them get away with staying stupid shit.
